Installation Guide

Before you begin installment of your trapeze, make sure you have the following things –

  • A step ladder
  • Stud Finder
  • A hammer drill (For concrete surface), A standard high powered drill (for wooden Surface). For concrete you’ll need to use the 6 mm drill bit and a 12 mm bit to create the bolt holes. For wood however 6 mm wood bit is okay.
  • A pen
  • A measuring tape

After you have all the requirements, you can begin with the installation.

  • When mounting your trapeze with the Ceiling hooks, you need to be sure about the area. Find an area safe for mounting. There should be plenty of space all around. Find beams that are strong enough to hold your weight.
  • If you’re going for a wooden surface, make sure it’ sturdy enough. Also, check for any termites that might loosen the grip, making it unsafe for mounting.   • You need to locate two parallel hidden support beams. You’ll be using these for installation. You need to place one eye bolt in each beam to maximize the strength.   • Keeping in mind that that they are on the center line if the beam, mark two points in the ceiling for drilling.
  • With the drill bit (find above the right one according to the surface) , drill holes in the marked spots. These should be perpendicular to the walls and five to six inches deep.
  • Screw the lag screw eye bolt in. Make sure that all the threads have disappear in to the holes, without loosening or adjusting them once in place.
  • Now, hook each strap to the respective steel hook and then place the steel hook in the respective eye bolts.
  • Hook the “S” of your sling directly above the desired notch, or in the steel hook.
  • Check all components at the time of installment to make sure that the structure will hold.
