Some Popular Yoga Trapeze Exercises For Upper & Lower Body

As you have already read about yoga trapeze stand and Yoga swings in our previous update. Here we will talk about yoga trapeze exercises for the upper body and the lower body, and their benefits.

Flying spider

Professionals may know this one and it might be a little tricky for the beginners, but flying spider is a safe exercise and a lot of fun as well.

  • To do this you need to first be in the sitting position on your trapeze. The next step is lowering yourself back slowly, and as your legs go up, you need to join them with the soles touching each other, in  a diamond position.
  • Be careful and make the balance, before moving on.
  • Now your upper body completely and hold on to the lowest handles with your hands, and with one swift move straighten your arms forward. You are the flying spider.
  • Straighten your legs backwards completely.
  • Do flying pushups, as much as you can.
  • To come back, lower your upper body slowly, and put your legs in the diamond position and hold.
  • Pull you upper body up till you can see your knees and then slowly bring your legs down in the shape of v.

Benefits of flying spider –

  • It is good for your upper body and builds up your upper body strength.
  • Flying pushups are really good for your arm muscles.
  • This exercise build up your core strength.

Crescent and warrior one

Crescent and warrior one are exercises for the lower body stretching and building lower body strength.

  • To begin, first get that trapeze on your mid to upper body and holding on to it with your arms, lower your body.
  • Move your left/right foot forward and get it on your hip width.
  • stretch the other one back and keep the heel part up.
  • Bend your head back and stretch. hold the pose for a few seconds.
  • Switch the legs and do this a few times. this is the crescent exercise.
  • For the warrior one, you need to adjust the front foot and put down the heels and make a steady pose.
  • You can stretch the front foot a little wider and put your head back and stretch.
  • Do this a few times, before moving your legs back. Slowly rise your upper body and let go of the trapeze.
